Telling vs. Showing
Creating a website provides you with a great opportunity to communicate what your organization is all about. Clients and colleagues visit your site and ask themselves: What does this organization stand for? What would it be like to work here? And what can I expect when I purchase this organization’s products and services?
In creating this website, we determined that there was more to this opportunity beyond just answering the questions. You can go to almost any website and find a company’s mission statement, their values, or a recitation of their product’s features and benefits. After a while, you notice that they all seem to use the same words. How do you differentiate one organization from another?
We decided to try something different. The training industry is changing so dramatically and so rapidly, it’s not enough to just tell you what this organization stands for – we have to show you. So it’s with great pride that we unveil our new online tutorial. Click on the link at the bottom of the page, and you’ll get an in depth look at what’s important at Adams Learning. This ten-minute tutorial not only teaches you about the Adams Learning approach, it also applies the standards so you can experience them as a learner. And it makes use of what we feel sets Adams Learning apart – movement, color, music, and humor.
Creating this tutorial was truly a group effort, and I would like to express my deep appreciation to the talented people who contributed. The graphic layout and programming were done by the team at Digitec Interactive. They are the best!
The graphics and animation were done by the amazing Michael Sanborn.
The narration was provided by “nail-it-in-one-take” Minette Marcial.
I hope you enjoy the online tutorial as much as we do; please check it out and send an email to let us know what you think.
